WN: John Oliver calls it with great humour and insight! But this is already dated. Here is what the situation is today (source: worldometer–several columns omitted below):

USA180,7233,578 6,241170,904
Italy105,79212,428 15,72977,635
Spain94,4178,269 19,25966,889
China81,5183,305 76,0522,161

The first reported cases for each of the top four countries were all in the same month of January!

Yet World Liar Number One is really as well World Idiot Number One in constantly claiming the government has the situation well under control! In the end, Trump is tragically World Enemy Number One. And we all suffer from it.

Please also see: John Oliver blasts Trump’s ‘irresponsible’ handling of coronavirus in which Last Week Tonight dissects Trump’s mishandling of the crisis and dismantles arguments pitting seniors against the economy. I’ll put the embed code below, but I’m unable to view it at least right now. Perhaps you can. At least the article captures Oliver’s main points–but misses the panache!
