Introduction to Crime Forum

Please click on audio of post. NOTE: only main text read; no links, text markings, images, videos, footnotes, etc. read aloud.

June 3, 2001, Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 7:00 – 9:30 p.m.

I definitely remembered this forum! Randy White, one of the panelists, then an MP for what now is called the Conservative Party (“Reform” back then) commented to one of our staff that he thought he might get “crucified” – or words to that effect. He was not!

I neglected to mention by name each panellist. Glen Flett was another one, I believe. Fr. Jim Consedine from New Zealand was another, and Randy White as mentioned. I forget the fourth. It was professionally videoed. Legal Grounds Coffee Shop (through Gerry Palmer) supplied the coffee for the evening.

Kairos means a highly significant historical moment. We are in one this year (2020), given:

— a worldwide pandemic

— worldwide anti-racism protests

— an attempted coup by U.S. President Trump–that affects the entire world.
