Ron Dart Interviewed by Lauren Southern

Why Humans Need Tradition

WN: Lauren Southern is vilified by the Left because of much of her past activism: a Canadian alt-right political activist, white nationalist and YouTuber.[a] according to Wikipedia. She gave up political activism however in 2019, and is now on a deliberate life quest. Many friends from the Right cannot understand her journey.

This is reflected in the interview. Excellent questions are posed. Ron discusses issues such as freedom, the malaise of modernity, the frenetic soul-destroying postmodern culture that is endlessly driven to find fulfillment and happiness in a string of unsatisfying sources and relationships; that embraces “Freedom” while rejecting any kind of Form or Structure to channel it–and so like a hamster on a wheel many go nowhere.

Ron indicates that contemporaries in the modern West miss that a return to the deep Traditions of the West and the East, the profound Wisdom of the Church Mothers and Fathers, are The Way Home. He encourages others to find a guide or guides who have gone before to point to that Way. It is obvious from the video below that Ron has been that for Ms. Southern–and for me–and for many others! And of course the early Church was known to be composed of people of The Way. And of course too Jesus said he was The Way.

The video below shows at the end the many publications by Ron, found on his website. One recent of which is edited by Ron: Myth and Meaning in Jordan Peterson: A Christian Perspective, that further explores the video’s themes.

In 2020 The Atlantic produced a documentary on the alt-right, in which Southern was one of three highlighted: White Noise — Inside the Racist Right. According to Ron, a good friend, it “froze” Southern at a point from which she has significantly moved on; and feels betrayed that though the filmmakers were told this, they do not signal that at all in the film.

Ron then became an ideal guide at a much-needed time, and Southern honours him for that.

Watch the video, and let him be a helpful guide. Then go to his website and discover indeed as Ms. Southern says, a “plethora” of resources. Check him out also on Clarion Journal.
